What is JYG? JYG or “Junior Youth Group” is a program at the New Canaan Congregational Church for middle school youth. All fifth and sixth grade students, regardless of church affiliation, are welcome to join JYG. In general, JYG meets each Thursday afternoon during the school year for fellowship, service and fun. Activities range from teambuilding to spiritual discussions to service projects. Over the years our vibrant youth program has continued to grow. During the 2006-2007 year there were over 60 youth registered for the JYG program with 35 kids participating on a weekly basis. The JYG program now includes more than 30 regular weekly meetings and service projects.
