What is MSYG? MSYG or “Middle School Youth Group” is a program of the New Canaan Congregational Church for middle school youth. All seventh and eighth grade students, regardless of church affiliation, are welcome to join MSYG. In general, MSYG meets each Sunday afternoon during the school year for fellowship, service and fun. Activities range from teambuilding to vespers to service projects. The highlight of the MSYG year is the annual Mission Trip to Mountainside, a three day trip over Memorial Day weekend, where MSYG works side-by-side with residents in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction to restore and improve the grounds of the facility and to experience and embrace God’s love. Over the years our vibrant youth program has continued to grow. During the 2006-07 year there were over 100 youth registered for the MSYG program with 50 kids participating on a weekly basis. The MSYG program now has more than 35 regular weekly meetings and service projects.
