What is YG?

YG or “Youth Group is a program of the Congregational Church of New Canaan for high school youth.  All high school students, regardless of church affiliation, are welcome to join YG.  In general, YG meets each Sunday evening during the school year for fellowship, service and fun.  Activities range from teambuilding to vespers to service projects.

The highlight of the YG year is the annual Mission Trip, a ten-day trip during the spring school vacation to a community where YG “Mission Fish” work side-by-side with Christian brothers and sisters to improve living conditions and to experience and embrace God’s love.

Over the years our vibrant youth program has continued to grow.  During the 2006/2007 year there were more than 150 youth registered for the YG program with 80 weekly participating.  The YG program now includes more than 50 regular weekly meetings and service projects.
