Emily grew up in New Canaan and graduated from New Canaan High School in 2000.  While in high school she played lacrosse, managed the the varsity football team, played flute in the band and was a member of Coalition, Amnesty International and Young Life.  She could often be seen at Gates where she worked for several years.

After high school Emily received a merit scholarship to attend Roanoke College in Virginia.  At Roanoke she was a member of the Literary Society and the Campus Activity Board.  She also volunteered as a personal companion and tutor for a three year old girl in a full body cast.  She graduated on the Dean’s List in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.

Emily took the summer after college to travel around Europe and then went on to work in corporate sales for almost 7 years.  She recently left to follow her passion for indoor cycling and can be found teaching spin at JoyRide studio in Westport.  Emily is incredibly excited and energized about her career change and is thrilled to be able to spend more time with the YG community, now in her 6th year as an advisor.
